HS Side of Rice

When I get really excited about the perfect deer steak, sometimes I forget all about sides. Suddenly, I need something I can whip up quick and easy that I know well go seamlessly with my perfect steak that won’t take too much time or effort. That’s when I rely on the HS Side of Rice. You pretty much can’t get this one wrong!

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups white rice (don’t be lazy, give it a good rinse)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp seasoning salt (Costco has a perfect version with no MSG)

  • 0.5 tsp parsley flakes

  • Large pinch of thyme

  • A good cracking of pepper

  • 3-4 Tbsp butter

  • 3 cups chicken stock

Cook:

Mix it all up in the pot and bring to a boil. Cover with a tilted lid and then simmer for 20 minutes.
